Members of the LGBT community let their voices be heard in the City as we reflect on the shootings in Orlando and how people in our local community are lending support to the victims. We discuss issues including hate crimes and anti-discrimination laws that many in the community say need to remain front and center. Joining us to talk about that is Helen (Nellie) Fitzpatrick, Director of LGBT Affairs for the City of Philadelphia. Also joining us is Francisco Cortes from the organization - GALAEI who shares his thoughts and information about the initiatives GALAEI is taking to help young people and others in the LGBT Community. “In Focus” is broadcast Saturdays from 6:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to Noon on PHL 17.
