In September the 76ers will open up their new practice facility in Camden, New Jersey. PHL17’s David Grzybowski got a sneak peak inside of the new complex.
“What we are providing and what we are building is a training complex that is second to none. North American sports has not seen anything like this,” Chris Heck said , Chief Revenue Officer for the Philadelphia 76ers.
The complex will feature a 2800 square foot locker room, player restaurant, cardio and weight room, a hydrotherapy room with a 40-foot lap pool and 2 NBA sized basketball courts. With the move over to South Jersey the Sixers plan on growing their relationship within the Camden community.
“There is a concentrated focus while we move in and while we get ready to move into Camden to participate in the lives of the children that live here and go to school here in Camden,” Heck said. “We are building platforms. We are teaming up with number partners currently and we will expand as we move into the facility this year.”
The new complex will also hold Sixers sales team of account executives, which is the largest sales team in the NBA.
