Non-profit Philadelphia Futures is providing Philadelphia’s low-income students who are the first in their families to attend college with the tools, resources and opportunities necessary for admission to - and success in college. Jennifer Lewis-Hall speaks to Ann-Therese Ortiz, Philadelphia Futures’ Director of Pre-College Programs, who shares key information about the organization’s 26th edition of it’s widely distributed “Step Up to College” guide. Also joining Jennifer from Philadelphia Futures is Kimberley Lewis, Director of Outreach who shares her expertise on various details and areas regarding getting into college including the search process, to applying for college and then making the important decision as to which college to attend. “In Focus” is broadcast Saturdays from 6:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to Noon on PHL17.
