Pope Francis' trip to the United States of American began in Washington, D.C. and ended in Philadelphia, PA.

When Pope Francis touched down in our nation's capital, the City of Brotherly Love kicked off the eighth World Meeting of Families.  Pope Francis' visit to Philadelphia would wrap up the Catholic event that happens every three years with a Papal mass along the city's famed Benjamin Franklin Parkway.  Hundreds of thousands of pilgrims attended the mass.

While in Philadelphia, the Holy Father led mass at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Center City, visited Independence Mall where he delivered a speech on immigration and religious freedom to tens of thousands of people.  He paraded around the city for the Festival of Families in the Pope mobile.  Pope Francis spent Sunday morning meeting with bishops from around the world and also ministered to inmates at a Philadelphia prison before celebrating the big, outdoor mass.
