You can’t go far throughout the Delaware Valley without seeing a Pope Francis related merchandise. Items from t-shirts, plush dolls, and even a pope toaster are all getting in on this historic papal visit. The World Meeting of Families pop up store is the go to shop for the official Papal souvenirs.
“It’s been amazing to see the reach and connectivity the memorabilia and merchandise has created with folks that are attending the event or just want something to commemorate,” Carl Mittleman said, president of Aramark Sports and Entertainment.
Others are getting in on the Pope Francis merchandise fun like David and Avi fox, who created their own t-shirt.
“Creating something that involves him makes you feel that you are helping and you are promoting that too regardless of religious faith. He is really making the world a better place and bringing people hope,” Avi Fox said.
Or like Narberth, PA native Debby Fireman who imagined the Pope toaster.
“The feedback has really been incredible. People love it. They think its a little miracle on toast. Its been cool to watch the reaction that has spread all over the world,” Debby Fireman said.
