Neumann University will lend a helping hand this September for the World Meeting of Families.

“This is an incredible a once in a lifetime opportunity,” Dr. Rosalie Mirenda said, president of Neumann University.

In September some of Neumann’s student body will be along the ben franklin parkway spreading the word of Saint Francis of Assisi, speaking to children through storytelling and coloring.

“Neumann and the world meeting of families I think one of the reasons why there is such an involvement between the two is because their missions are very similar. Both Neumann and the world meeting of families are looking at transforming relationships it’s a perfect match,” Dr. Mary Beth Yount said, faculty member at Neumann University.

Student Marykate McGurk is looking forward to Pope Francis visiting Philadelphia.

“Pope Francis visiting Philadelphia is going to be a great moment for my faith and for the faith of a lot of students at Neumann and all throughout the area,” McGurk said.
