Sunday, March 30th — Alzheimer’s Association’s Wine, Women, and Shoes
We are asking for your support as we proudly announce the First Annual Wine Women and Shoes event to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter!
The Delaware Valley Chapter provides many free programs and services to people with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers. The Alzheimer’s Association is also the largest private funder of Alzheimer’s research in the world.
Today, an American develops Alzheimer’s disease every 68 seconds. In 2050, an American will develop the disease every 33 seconds. In the U. S., Alzheimer’s is the 6th leading cause of death and the only one of the top 10 causes of death that cannot be prevented, cured or even slowed. Deaths from Alzheimer’s increased 68 percent between 2000 and 2010, while deaths from other major diseases, including the number one cause of death (heart disease), decreased. We need your help to change the trajectory of this disease while supporting the nearly 300,000 people in our region currently living with Alzheimer’s or a related disorder.
Wine Women and Shoes is a one of a kind celebration that will take place at the Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, Pennsylvania on Sunday, March 30, 2014. We are expecting over 300 well–heeled women and their “sole mates” to attend. The event is a strolling wine, food tasting and boutique shopping experience with a live auction, opportunity drawing, and a high energy fashion show that comes together for a few fabulous hours of fundraising, camaraderie, and shopping.
Please consider donating an item for the event. All donations will be recognized at the event and on the Alzheimer’s Association DVC Wine Women and Shoes website as being donated from your establishment. Donors will also receive acknowledgment of the donation for tax purposes.
Supporting Wine Women and Shoes offers you a fantastic way to support the Alzheimer’s Association DVC while providing a unique and valuable opportunity to showcase your company to many community members and leaders. We hope you will join us!
