Service is at the Heart of the National Constitution Center

Nora Quinn from the National Constitution Center celebrates one of the group’s favorite days of the year – Martin Luther King Day. The center offers numerous service projects for their visitors and students to partake in. This allows children to take Dr. King’s message and use it in their everyday lives for the benefit of the community, nation, and the world. During the day, students are able to create individual backpack kits for their teacher’s classrooms.

The Center is a partner with the organization “Women Against Abuse,” which bringsĀ  a community of women together to participate in a quilt project. The quilts are given to the new women who come to the shelter with no belongings. The idea is to create a sense of hope by giving something that was made special for them.

“Service is at the heart of what we’re doing here at the National Constitution Center,” Quinn says.
