While Eagles fans are hoping the Birds will clinch the NFC East, City Tap House in University City is hoping it’s got a winner in its new catfish dish in honor of the team’s quarter back. It’s called “Catfish #9.” And, in our Biz Bites this morning Peter and I sampled the dish – a food that’s reportedly a Foles’ favorite.

The catfish, soaked in buttermilk and then deep-fried comes with cornmeal crusted “green” tomatoes and Andouille white cheddar grits. Catfish #9 is $21 and 25-percent of the sales will be donated to the Eagles Youth Partnership.  Don’t expect Catfish #9 to be around by the time spring training season for the Phillies kicks off. The sizzling southern dish will only be around for a limited time. We’re hoping that Nick Foles however will continue be on fire on the field and around a lot longer!
