I always enjoyed going to the circus growing up, but I never imagined I would one day soar 32 feet up in the air on the flying trapeze. Mary Kelly Rayel at Fly School Circus Arts proved that I could handle the challenge. We started off on a smaller bar so I could learn proper form and technique before I took off on the trapeze. She says the flying trapeze is great for everyone and you don’t have to be super strong to try it.
For me the flying trapeze wasn’t just a thrill but it’s also a great workout. I found out that from swinging you will develop strong arms. It also helps your core because you need your stomach muscles to help you kick and flip.
