One drink I helped to whip up this morning is called the Philadelphian and the other – the Blair and Pear. And, get this – they are hand-crafted cocktails made with local spirits and seasonal, house-made ingredients.

And get this – they are the creations of 10 Arts, located in the Ritz-Carlton in Philadelphia. Ryan Lax, Food and Beverage Supervisor at 10 Arts joined me live on the set with a great fun segment that’s perfect for the mid-week blues.

Local ingredients for the Philadelphian includes Rittenhouse Rye, local maple syrup, house-made vermouth and black walnut bitters.

The Blair & Pear is made with Boyd and Blair Vodka, pear-lavendar syrup and local honey.

You can join 10 Arts for Happy Hour Sunday through Friday 5 to 7 p.m. Feature wines are $5 as well as Chef de Cuisine Nathan Volz’s light fare, also priced at $5 per dish.

And, you won’t want to miss Thursday’s there in the summer at 6 p.m. That’s when 10 Arts is offering ‘Art of the Craft,’ a complimentary interactive demonstration that showcases how they make their most popular hand-crafted cocktails, dishes and unique desserts.
