Who doesn’t love to boogie woogie? I know that I do! And, live on the set of Eye Opener this morning, our studio was filled with blues and soul as singer-songwriter Dona Oxford jammed on her keyboard all morning long.

This New York native who now lives in Los Angeles is back on this side of the country for her new East Coast Tour stopping into hotspots such as The Tin Angel in Philadelphia on Thursday August 8.

Wondering where she gets her technique? Well she was taught by Johnnie Johnson, who was a 30 year veteran piano player of Chuck Berry’s Combo” band.

Doňa and her band have played with the musical likings of Keith Richards, Levon Helm, Bob Weir and Buddy Guy and many other rock and blues legends.

Doňa is the real deal as she has been dubbed the Goddess of Soul. This multi-talented performer definitely will not disappoint with the high energy and personality she commands while onstage.
